Yani Merican – daughter, wife and mother, Yani was born in the vibrant city of Pulau Pinang and later grew up in Shah Alam, Selangor. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Civil Engineering, she soon added an MBA to her belt. Yani then had the opportunity to work for some big corporations such as MRCB, Thyssenkrupp Xervon, Sapura Kencana and many more. Flourishing in her 13 years in the corporate world, she has accumulated a wide range of skillsets from project management, human resource, business development, auditing and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), readying her for the current task of developing IKAT into a global brand.

Ashraf Hussain – Kuala Lumpur born, Ashraf pursued and completed his Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Soon after graduating, he worked as a Junior Geotechnical Engineer for a few years and later moved on to the Oil and Gas industry serving clients such as Petronas, Shell and Nippon Oil to just name a few. Initially, Ashraf focused on project management, serving as the Company's representative in projects offshore and onshore Malaysia. He later held management positions and eventually served as Senior Manager responsible for technical and business development of the Company's services. With more than 15 years of work experience, he is ready to take up the challenge of making IKAT a household name in Malaysia and abroad!
